Baseball Recap: Wayne County Starts Season with Loss at Home

Wayne County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-0 to the Purvis Tornadoes on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Wayne County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Mills, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Wayne County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-1 victory against Richton on the 11th. As for Purvis, they will square off against Ocean Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
