Recap: Thompson Valley Eagles vs. Skyline Falcons
The Thompson Valley Eagles can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Skyline 77-47 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Thompson Valley has posted since December 5, 2023.
Thompson Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Kennison, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Kennison is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tom Mandeville, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, one person who can't be blamed is Andy Erives. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Erives has scored all season. Talan Starcevich was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Thompson Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Skyline, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thompson Valley will take on Loveland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Loveland is ranked 145th, while Thompson Valley is ranked 134th). As for Skyline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frederick has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 229 points over their last three contests.
