After a string of seven wins, Strasburg's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Clarke County Eagles 67-40. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 37-29.

Strasburg's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-5. As for Clarke County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Strasburg and Clarke County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Strasburg will square off against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 237 places (103 vs. 340). Similarly, Clarke County (ranked 75th) will meet Page County (ranked 291st) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
