Volleyball Recap: Columbus Titans vs. Oswego Indians
Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Oswego Indians by a score of 2-1. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Columbus actually scored more points across those three sets (70-68), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-23, 25-22.
Oswego found their leader in underclassman Jaycee Schulz, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for her.
Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-15-1. As for Oswego, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus will take on Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oswego, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Uniontown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2017, but likely not for long.
