Soccer Recap: Cranbrook Kingswood Victorious

Cranbrook Kingswood's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Walled Lake Northern Knights. The win was all the more spectacular given Cranbrook Kingswood's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Walled Lake Northern are ranked 98th).

Cranbrook Kingswood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6-1. As for Walled Lake Northern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cranbrook Kingswood will host St. Mary's Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Walled Lake Northern, they will welcome Kettering at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
