Baseball Recap: Hughesville's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Hughesville and Mount Carmel squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hughesville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the RED TORNADOES by a score of 1-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

Nathan Bieber was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
