Football Recap: Dike-New Hartford Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Dike-New Hartford won the last time they faced Aplington-Parkersburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolverines' defense stepped up to hand the Falcons a 7-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolverines' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Falcons are ranked 94th).

Dike-New Hartford pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points over those games. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
