Norton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They blew past the Trego Golden Eagles 51-29. That's more bragging rights for the Bluejays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Norton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kcanna Keiswetter out in front who posted 12 points and four steals. Keiswetter has become a key player for Norton: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 6-11 otherwise. Chloe Cox was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Trego's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madi Daubert, who put up nine points and six rebounds. Those nine points gave Daubert a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bailey Ziegler, who scored four points in addition to nine boards and four blocks.

Norton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points over those games. As for Trego, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Norton has already played their next match, a 49-33 loss against Thomas More Prep-Marian on the 21st. As for Trego, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-29 defeat against Smith Center on the 21st.
