Baseball Game Preview: Tomahawk Hatchets vs. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs

The Tomahawk Hatchets will square off against the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Tomahawk's offense. They lost 10-0 to Prentice on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hatchets have suffered since April 23rd.

Meanwhile, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser hadn't done well against Cumberland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Beavers. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5th (when they won 10-0).

The win made it two in a row for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and bumps their season record up to 6-14. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Tomahawk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.
