Basketball Recap: Life Oak Cliff Takes a Loss

If Life Oak Cliff was feeling good fresh off their 60-40 takedown of Tom Bean on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Life Oak Cliff Lions took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitesboro Bearcats. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 855th, while the Bearcats are ranked 275th).

Life Oak Cliff's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Whitesboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Life Oak Cliff will host Village Tech at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Whitesboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pilot Point at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitesboro is facing Pilot Point at the right time seeing as Pilot Point is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
