Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Academy Eagles vs. Camden Hills Windjammers

The Lincoln Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Camden Hills Windjammers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Medomak Valley hit Lincoln Academy with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Camden Hills' offense. They fell 3-0 to Brunswick on Friday. The Windjammers have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Camden Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lincoln Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lincoln Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Camden Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Lincoln Academy might still be hurting after the 11-4 loss they got from Camden Hills in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
