Volleyball Recap: Rocky River Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rocky River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Providence Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-4, 25-15.

Providence found their leader in freshman Allie Johnsey, who had 18 assists and four aces. Jade Pejot also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Rocky River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Providence, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Rocky River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Ardrey Kell on the 3rd. As for Providence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against East Mecklenburg on the 2nd.
