Basketball Recap: Ames Drops Highest Score of Season Against Waterloo East

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ames). They strolled past the Waterloo East Trojans with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 50-35. Winning may never get old, but the Little Cyclones sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ames' victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Waterloo East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ames and Mason City will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Waterloo East, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marshalltown at 6:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
