Bloom and Mother McAuley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bloom had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Mother McAuley Mighty Macs.

Sydney Buchanan was her usual excellent self, getting ten digs, seven aces, four kills, and a block for Mother McAuley. Those seven aces gave Buchanan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucy Maloney, who had ten digs.
Bloom has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 19 of their last 23 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-25 record this season. As for Mother McAuley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 31-4 record this season.
