Volleyball Recap: Garinger Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Garinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the North Mecklenburg Vikings. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-12, 25-11.

Leading North Mecklenburg to victory were Selah Miller and Scholar Bates. Miller had seven aces, while Bates hit 50% for six kills and 12 aces. Those 50% hitting percentage gave Bates a new career-high.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for North Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Garinger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Myers Park on the 25th. As for North Mecklenburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Mallard Creek on the 25th.
