Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West). They breezed by the Whitney Wildcats to the tune of 60-24 on Tuesday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Wildcats are ranked 1343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points per game. As for Whitney, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

West will challenge Scurry-Rosser at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. West will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Whitney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
