Stillwater won the last time they faced Cretin-Derham Hall and things went their way on Monday too. The Ponies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Raiders. That two run margin sets a new team best for the Ponies this season.
Ella Weisser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Maya Schroeder was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Ava Volkmann was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Schroeder wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Stillwater lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
