Softball Game Preview: Lake Norman Charter Knights vs. Carson Cougars

The Lake Norman Charter Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Carson Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Norman Charter is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Lake Norman Charter didn't have quite enough to beat Northwest Cabarrus and fell 2-1.

Lake Norman Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Gadd, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Kendall Ruffolo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, while it was Carson who put the first points on the board on Wednesday, it was Butler who put up more. Carson came up short against Butler, falling 20-8. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Lake Norman Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
