Recap: Colleton County Cougars vs. Bluffton Bobcats
The Colleton County Cougars''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Bluffton 55-21. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Colleton County in their matchups with Bluffton: they've now lost three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bluffton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Bayes, who threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Vick, who picked up 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Colleton County has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Bluffton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Colleton County will head out on the road to face off against Irmo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Irmo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully Colleton County likes a good challenge. Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
