Basketball Recap: Sarah Farrow Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mainland Regional

Middle Township lost to Mainland Regional back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Middle Township Panthers came out on top against the Mainland Regional Mustangs by a score of 44-32. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Mustangs are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Middle Township's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sarah Farrow, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Farrow has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagen Powell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Middle Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Middle Township has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Mainland Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Middle Township wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-27 win against Williamstown on the 20th. Mainland Regional has also already played their next game, a 45-40 victory against Ocean City on the 18th.
