Baseball Recap: Orange Beach Comes Up Short

Orange Beach fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bayside Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Admirals by a score of 6-5. The Makos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Admirals earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Brayden Hood was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Orange Beach's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Bayside Academy, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Beach will welcome St. Michael Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Makos are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bayside Academy, they will be playing at home against Bayshore Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
