Football Recap: Gordon Lee Trojans vs. Fannin County Rebels        
        
		
             If Gordon Lee was feeling good  fresh off their  42-14 takedown of Coosa last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gordon Lee Trojans fell just short of the Fannin County Rebels by a score of  30-27 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked 212th, while the Rebels are ranked 100th).
  Lawson Sullivan was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 132 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt for Fannin County. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 67 yards.
 The  defeat snapped Gordon Lee's winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 7-3 record. As for Fannin County, the  win for them keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Gordon Lee and Elbert County will dust off their jerseys to  take on  one another  at 7:30  p.m.  on November 15th. Gordon Lee will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak  alive. As for Fannin County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Vidalia at 7:30  p.m.  on November 15th. Fannin County's defense has only allowed 10.9  points per game  this season, so Vidalia's offense will have their work cut out for them.
