Basketball Recap: Downers Grove South Comes Up Short

Downers Grove South lost against Lyons back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Downers Grove South Mustangs fell to the Lyons Lions 46-40. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Lions are ranked third).

Downers Grove South's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Lyons, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 29-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Downers Grove South nor Lyons have any future games scheduled.
