Baseball Recap: Fulton Comes Up Short

Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Dubuque Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Steamers of the 6-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for East Dubuque, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8-1 record this season.

Fulton will face off against Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Dubuque will be paying especially close attention to the Steamers' game: after the Steamers face off against the Chargers, they'll take on East Dubuque again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
