Soccer Recap: Riverheads Takes a Loss

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Riverheads was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Fort Defiance Indians. Riverheads were not able to make up for their loss to Fort Defiance from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fort Defiance, they moved to 4-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Riverheads will be playing at home against Stuarts Draft at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverheads will be up against Stuarts Draft's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.7 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Fort Defiance, they will head out on the road to square off against Staunton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Staunton will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Fort Defiance surely won't give up without a fight.
