Baseball Game Preview: Columbia Crimson Tide vs. Lancaster Mennonite Blazers

Columbia is 9-1 against Lancaster Mennonite since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Crimson Tide will host the Blazers at 4:15 p.m. Columbia's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Columbia came into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Pequea Valley by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday.

Cameron McClair made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Lancaster Mennonite lost 9-1 to Lancaster Catholic on Thursday. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lancaster Mennonite saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Buckwalter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Lancaster Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Columbia, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Columbia took their victory against Lancaster Mennonite in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Crimson Tide repeat their success, or do the Blazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
