Baseball Recap: Salisbury Township's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Salisbury Township came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lehighton Indians, falling 13-3. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Salisbury Township saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Salisbury Township fell to 4-1. As for Lehighton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Looking ahead, Salisbury Township will be playing at home against Northern Lehigh at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Salisbury Township is facing Northern Lehigh at the right time seeing as Northern Lehigh is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lehighton, they will challenge Palisades at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Palisades' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Lehighton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
