Baseball Recap: North Pike Wins Going Away Against West Marion

North Pike not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 13th. They blew past the West Marion Trojans 12-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-7 back in February.

North Pike got a massive performance out of Peyton McGehee, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave McGehee a new career-high in hits. Luke LeBlanc was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI.

North Pike was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Marion only posted a batting average of .348.

The win made it two in a row for North Pike and bumps their season record up to 9-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11 hits in those games compared to only 4.82 in the others. As for West Marion, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

North Pike didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Loyd Star on the 11th. As for West Marion, they will host Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
