Basketball Recap: Tintic Falls Despite Big Games from Jordan Conder and Kyah Farr

Tintic lost against Tabiona back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tintic Miners took a 51-32 bruising from the Tabiona Tigers.

Despite the loss, Tintic had strong showings from Kyah Farr, who posted 12 points and five rebounds, and Jordan Conder, who put up eight points. Those 12 points gave Farr a new career-high.

Tabiona's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaidence Pippy, who scored ten points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Pippy has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maycee Rhoades, who had 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Tintic has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Tabiona, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Tintic has already played their next contest, a 45-44 defeat against Wendover on the 8th. As for Tabiona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-35 loss against Rich on the 8th.
