Fox Lane scaled the state rankings by moving to 340 from 404 this week, the biggest jump in Section 1 AA - 2. The Foxes climbed the ranks as a result of topping Mamaroneck 14-0.
Fox Lane made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,541 from 10,832. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 14-0 victory over the Tigers last week.
Arlington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Tobin threw for 173 yards and Jason Harrand had 78 yards receiving. On the ground Tobin chipped in 37 yards. Garrett Jones helped Arlington's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 53 yards.
Tobin put up the best numbers in passing as the Admirals lost to North Rockland. Tobin's favorite target this week was Harrand, who caught 6 passes for 78 yards.
Arlington's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Admirals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tobin has thrown for 461 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Harrand has 17 catches for 242 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Arlington's Harrand goes up against Mamaroneck's Jesse Velleu.
Next week's game between Dominick DeMatteo's team and Anthony Vitti's team will feature an aerial matchup as Tobin tests his arm against Velleu's defensive ability.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when John Jay takes on Clarkstown South. The Patriots are currently in first, while the Vikings are in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Admirals and the Tigers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Arlington comes in having scored 62 this season, while Mamaroneck has scored 14. The Admirals scored 13 points last week as they fell to the Raiders.
