Softball Recap: Alliance Bulldogs vs. Gering Bulldogs

Alliance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Gering Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Alliance of the 25-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.

Alliance saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Regan Cornish, who went 1-for-2 with a home run.

Even though they lost, Alliance didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with six strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gering only tossed three.

As for Gering, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Chase County at 2:30 p.m. Gering is facing Chase County at the right time seeing as Chase County is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
