Basketball Recap: St. Johns Comes Up Short

St. Johns lost against Portland last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Johns Redwings lost to the Portland Raiders on the road by a 64-45 margin. While losing is never fun, the Redwings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Raiders are ranked 32nd).

St. Johns has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-7 record this season. Portland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

St. Johns does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Portland, they will take on Hamady in a tournament on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hamady comes in on 20 and Portland on ten.
