Softball Recap: Nueva Esperanza Takes a Loss

Nueva Esperanza lost against George Washington back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Nueva Esperanza fell just short of George Washington by a score of 9-7. Nueva Esperanza has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nueva Esperanza now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for George Washington, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nueva Esperanza will square off against Abraham Lincoln at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Railsplitters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something Nueva Esperanza will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for George Washington, they will challenge Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
