Basketball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

If Middletown was riding high fresh off their 71-51 takedown of Port Chester last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Middletown Middie Bears came up short against the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks on Tuesday, falling 73-53. The Middie Bears haven't had much luck with the Goldbacks recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Newburgh Free Academy, their record now sits at 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middletown will welcome Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Bush at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
