Volleyball Recap: New Washington Comes Up Short

New Washington lost against South Ripley back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders.

Leading South Ripley to victory were Kaiya Rinear and Addison Seabolt. Rinear had eight digs and three aces, while Seabolt had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Seabolt a new career-high.

New Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for South Ripley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

New Washington has already played their next matchup (against Shawe Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Ripley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against South Decatur on the 17th.
