Football Recap: Elk Rapids Comes Up Short

Elk Rapids scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They and the Cheboygan Chiefs were almost perfectly matched up, but the Elks suffered a 13-12 loss. The defeat continues a trend for the Elks in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost three in a row.

Elk Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cheboygan, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
