Volleyball Game Preview: Ocracoke Dolphins vs. Columbia Wildcats

The Ocracoke Dolphins will venture away from home to face off against the Columbia Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Ocracoke lost 3-0 to Bear Grass Charter on Monday.

Meanwhile, Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Cape Hatteras, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-7, 25-12.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ocracoke, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Ocracoke beat Columbia 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dolphins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
