Volleyball Recap: Lakota Tech Tatanka vs. Hot Springs Bison
Lakota Tech was the 2-1 winner over Hot Springs when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Tatanka fell just short of the Bison by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.
Lakota Tech took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 15-6.
Leading Hot Springs to victory were Abby Simons and Olivia LeGrande. Simons had 15 digs, while LeGrande had nine digs and three aces. Those 15 digs gave Simons a new career-high.
Lakota Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hot Springs, their win ended a four-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-8.
Hot Springs has already played their next match (against Kadoka), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lakota Tech will be paying especially close attention to the Bison's contest: after the Bison face off against Sturgis Brown, they'll take on Lakota Tech again on Saturday.
