Baseball Recap: Avon Park Comes Up Short

Avon Park fell victim to Clewiston and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Avon Park's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Clewiston, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Avon Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Sebring on the 20th. As for Clewiston, they will host LaBelle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. LaBelle will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Clewiston surely won't give up without a fight.
