Montgomery Central won against Jo Byrns last Monday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Montgomery Central walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Fairview Yellowjackets. With that win, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Ella Harp, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Borowik, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Montgomery Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairview struck out nine times.

The victory got Montgomery Central back to even at 3-3. As for Fairview, their record now sits at 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central will challenge Clarksville Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Montgomery Central has three straight wins, Clarksville Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field. As for Fairview, they will square off against Lawson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairview's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lawson has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
