Softball Game Preview: Donna Redskins vs. Weslaco East Wildcats

Donna is 0-10 against Weslaco East since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Redskins will head out to take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Donna has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Donna and Pace had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Redskins came up short against the Vikings on Friday, falling 21-1. Redskins fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Friday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Weslaco East was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lopez.

Weslaco East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angelica Herrera, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Weslaco East's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Donna, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16-1.

Donna might still be hurting after the 14-1 loss they got from Weslaco East in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Redskins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
