Baseball Recap: Bishop Dunne Comes Up Short

The Bishop Dunne Falcons came up short against the Covenant Christian Cougars on Tuesday, falling 14-3. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Dunne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Briggs, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Kameron Briggs was another, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Bishop Dunne's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Covenant Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Dunne will welcome Brentwood Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Covenant Christian, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Covenant Christian Cougars challenge St. Mark's Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
