Basketball Recap: Sequoyah School Gryphons vs. Mesrobian Bulldogs
Sequoyah School lost against Mesrobian back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sequoyah School Gryphons fell 47-38 to the Mesrobian Bulldogs. The Gryphons have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Nicholas Khatchikian continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mesrobian, going 8 for 14 en route to 27 points plus six rebounds and five steals. Khatchikian's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hakop Gyulvanesian, who scored 14 points.
Sequoyah School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mesrobian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
