Preview: Mayfield Panthers vs. Corinth Riverhawks
Mayfield has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Corinth Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mayfield posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They really took it to Middleburgh for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-27 win on the road. With Mayfield ahead 41-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Cloey Dopp was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Iannuzzi, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Corinth waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They strolled past Fonda-Fultonville with points to spare, taking the game 44-30.
The win got Mayfield back to even at 8-8. As for Corinth, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
