Football Recap: West Haven Piles Up the Points Against Xavier + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Haven). They blew past the Xavier Falcons, posting a 41-14 victory. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 22-21 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2019.

West Haven was led to victory by Amir Daniley and Mason Wright. Daniley gained 179 total yards and a touchdown, while Wright threw for 287 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.7 yards per attempt. With that strong performance, Daniley is now averaging an impressive 111.2 rushing yards per game. 117 of Wright's passing yards were hauled in by Jakari Harris.

West Haven's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. TJ Stevenson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself. The game marked his first with multiple sacks this season. Harris got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

West Haven's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Xavier, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
