The Springfield Southeast Spartans had to suffer through a 51-6 loss at the hands of the Normal University Pioneers. The Spartans have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Normal University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alek Weiland, who threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
