Basketball Game Preview: Myrtle Hawks vs. Jumpertown Cardinals

The Myrtle Hawks will head out to face off against the Jumpertown Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Myrtle is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Myrtle faced off against Falkner on Friday. Myrtle was beaten by Falkner 57-16. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jumpertown posted their biggest win since December 16, 2024 on Friday. They put the hurt on Ashland with a sharp 52-30 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Jumpertown has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Myrtle, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Myrtle came up short against Jumpertown in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 47-37. Can Myrtle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
