Basketball Recap: Mallard Creek Piles Up the Points Against Harding University

Mallard Creek came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 55.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Harding University Rams 81-29. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Kiara Anderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 38 points and 13 steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was My'Asia Young, who went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points along with five boards and three steals.

Mallard Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Mallard Creek's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Harding University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
