Basketball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy lost against St. Francis back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles took a blow against the St. Francis Knights, falling 75-18. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-14.

St. Francis was led to victory by Desi Taylor and G Rogers. Taylor shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists, while Rogers went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points and three steals. The matchup was Taylor's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emon Stephens, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12. As for St. Francis, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will host Walker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy is facing Walker at the right time seeing as Walker is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for St. Francis, they will challenge Whitefield Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whitefield Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Francis surely won't give up without a fight.
