Meanwhile, Astoria/VIT lost to the Bombers at home by a decisive 50-32 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Astoria/VIT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Bombers are ranked 159th).

Cuba/Spoon River Valley has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Astoria/VIT, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-14.
Cuba/Spoon River Valley came up short against the Rebels when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 60-49. Now that Cuba/Spoon River Valley knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
